November 25, 2026: Building an AI Policy That Works: A Practical Guide for Publishers

Wednesday, November 25 from 1:30pm-3:00pm MT (ABT/MDT)

The increasing availability of AI tools presents both opportunities and challenges for publishers. Developing a clear AI policy is essential for managing risk, protecting intellectual property, maintaining trust, and ensuring these technologies are used responsibly, especially in a creative field.

Presented by Nicole Dufficy of Booklight Consulting, this webinar will provide a step-by-step approach to developing a mission-aligned AI policy, tailored for independent publishers. We’ll explore the foundations of effective AI governance, including risk management, ethical considerations, content standards, and implementation strategies.

Learn how to build a flexible AI policy that supports growth and innovation while safeguarding your organization’s reputation and standards. Participants will leave with a customizable policy framework, along with actionable guidance for navigating the opportunities and risks of AI adoption.

This session is open to BPAA members and other non-BPAA publishers and will take place on Wednesday, November 25 from 1:30pm-3:00pm ABT.

Please register by 4:30 pm MT on Tuesday, November 24. If you are joining the session from Alberta, you will need to make sure your timezone is set to ABT for the Zoom invite to appear in your calendar at the correct time.

A recording of the webinar will be available for 30 days following the session, for those who are unable to attend live.
