2026 Alberta Book Publishing Awards Now Accepting Submissions

Edmonton – The Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA) is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Alberta Book Publishing Awards.
Since 1994, the Alberta Book Publishing Awards have played a crucial role in celebrating and elevating Alberta’s vibrant publishing community. Adjudicated by industry experts, submissions are assessed on the entire book publishing process — from acquisitions to marketing, and everything in between.
The BPAA welcomes submissions from all Alberta-owned and -controlled publishers. Nominated books must have been published between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. The winners of the 2026 Alberta Book Publishing Awards will be celebrated at a gala tentatively scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Edmonton. More information will be shared in the coming months.
