Edmonton – The Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA) is thrilled to announce the release of the 2025 Read Alberta Publisher Catalogue, highlighting over 100 frontlist titles from 14 Alberta book publishers.
“Every year, Alberta book publishers produce thoughtful, award-winning, and masterfully crafted books. This catalogue serves as a testament to their creativity, resilience, and commitment as they tell and preserve Alberta’s unique stories,” says Megan Bishop, Executive Director of the BPAA. “It’s important for readers and learners to have access to titles that represent and showcase Alberta’s distinct regional experiences. When readers choose an Alberta book, they are not only directly supporting local voices and businesses, but also celebrating the landscapes and people that encompass our diverse province.”
The Read Alberta Publisher Catalogue makes it easier than ever for readers to discover new locally published books. Whether readers are seeking a mystery that will stump them, a character arc to make them cry, or a local story for their classroom, there is an Alberta book for every mood and reader. Guided by a belief that reading is for everyone, our province’s publishers produce a diverse breadth of books in a wide variety of genres, accessible formats, topics, and themes. We encourage book lovers, educators, and library staff to take a look inside; their next great read awaits!
