Read Alberta Book Blast
About
Are you a librarian looking to learn more about new, locally published books? Do you need new titles for library programs or to add to your collections?
Designed for Alberta library staff, the Read Alberta Book Blast series showcases the latest and greatest in Alberta-published books. Each virtual session is made up of a series of bite-size presentations, during which BPAA member publishers will share their new and exciting books with library staff.
Who should attend: Any library staff who oversee collection development, provide readers’ advisory, library programming, and book recommendations, work in marketing, or just simply want to learn about new books.
Why you should attend: This is a unique opportunity to hear about exciting local books, from local publishers themselves. Readers appreciate local content, and Alberta publishers will showcase that there is something for everyone with books available across a variety of genres, formats, and reading levels. In addition to the live presentations, participants will also receive a title information document to make collection additions easier! Sit back, relax, and take in the diverse books our province has to offer.
