Established in 1977, NeWest Press publishes literary fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and plays, with a focus on Western Canadian writers and themes. The Press has contributed to the national literary scene through its long-running Nunatak First Fiction series, and has recently launched a speculative fiction imprint, Barbour Books.
