What’s New with Social Media Marketing? A 2023 Update

The Book Publishers Association of Alberta is pleased to announce What’s New with Social Media Marketing? with Ariel Hudnall of Zg Stories. The session will expand on ideas explored in our Social Media Marketing webinar series in 2022.
The 90 minute session will explore topics tailored to our member publishers. The topics will include:
- Developing a multi-channel content strategy
- Building brand (beyond book covers)
- Choosing (and future proofing) platforms for your audience
- Campaign planning requires community
- The KPIs of social media: what is realistic, and what is ideal?
- Verified accounts, shops, and a primer on advertising
This event is free and limited to members of the BPAA. Please register to reserve your spot by 4:30 pm MT on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. A recording of the webinar series will be available for 30 days for those who are unable to attend.
Ariel Hudnall (she/her) is the Managing Director of Zg Stories, a marketing agency specializing in book publicity, author platform development, and storytelling stratagem. She holds a Master of Publishing from Simon Fraser University, and a BA in Japanese Language & Culture from the University of California, Berkeley. She has worked (or volunteered) as a beta and slush reader, developmental editor, acquisitions editor, book designer, digital advertiser, publicist, marketing consultant and strategist, as well as workshop facilitator. This work has brought her to the offices of some of the world’s largest publishers, to indie and hybrid presses, self-published communities, and in collaboration with authors at every stage of their marketing journey, writing in every conceivable genre. When she is not working, Ariel pursues creative writing, gardening, and baking, the latter two of which are frequently shared on her Instagram.
