Posted .
Edmonton – The Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA) is pleased to announce the third Alberta Reads book club pick – Taken by the Muse: On the Path to Becoming a Filmmaker by Anne Wheeler, published by NeWest Press.
This collection of creative non-fiction stories recount Anne Wheeler’s journey to becoming a filmmaker. The stories of Wheeler’s travels and serendipitous encounters share common themes of self-discovery, passions, and finding purpose.
“Anne Wheeler is a fabulous filmmaker; her films are probing, truthful, fearless and an adventure to watch. Her storytelling in Taken by the Muse is equally captivating.”
—Alice Walker, award-winning author of The Color Purple
Over the course of November and December, readers will have the chance to participate in online book club discussions over Facebook, Twitter, or through the Alberta Reads webpage. Further book club events and programming will be announced in the weeks to come.
